Advancing Welfare in Aquaculture
We work with farmers, companies, researchers, and industry partners to turn aquatic animal welfare science into practical improvements on farms. Through training, welfare assessment, capacity building, and industry engagement, our work supports better welfare practices across aquaculture.
Our work on shrimp and tilapia welfare is funded by FAI Farms, supporting the implementation and expansion of practical welfare improvements across the aquaculture sector.

About the project
The Shrimp and Tilapia Welfare project is delivered through a partnership between FAI Farms and Creative Labs Asia. FAI brings scientific leadership, digital tools, evidence-based welfare frameworks and sector expertise developed in collaboration with researchers and farms.
Creative Labs Asia contributes regional knowledge, strong industry relationships and practical delivery, working directly with farmers across Southeast Asia to provide training, field support and community engagement.
Together, the two organisations ensure welfare practices are both scientifically robust and realistic for farmers to adopt. Their combined approach supports better food systems for people, animals and the planet across the Asian aquaculture sector.
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
